Christopher Moore

Christopher Moore was born and raised in western Missouri. His family had a vacation house in the Missouri Ozarks where he spent the summers of his youth. Branson Missouri had its own take on country music influenced by the deep hills and bootleg history of southern Missouri. The Presley’s Country Music Jamboree and the Baldknobbers were the first live acts in Branson, and the Moore family could be found at their performances every summer.

Christopher Moore played in a rock band while attending the University of Missouri Kansas City. His band was signed by Hellion Records in Germany during his junior year. He left college to tour with his band and spent the last 20 years writing, publishing, and performing for several labels in America and Europe under his stage name, Maxx Christopher. Moore’s music has been received well by hard rock fans around the world and he has done thousand of live shows singing and playing lead guitar.

Moore and his wife bought a small farm in Missouri in 2015. They raise a little livestock and grow organic vegetables on their acreage. Christopher also built a recording studio where he lays down the tracks for his music. The emergence of Covid caused the cancellation of Moore’s live performance schedule in 2020. The national crisis was a hard blow to everyone, but it has given him the opportunity to devote more time to recording and composition.

Moore has always enjoyed classic country music but never had the time to try his hand in the genre until now. Christopher has donned his cowboy hat and reached down deep for the music of his youth. “It has been a welcome challenge,” Christopher says, “my heroes are guys like Marty Robbins, Johnny Cash, and Bocephus so that bar is set pretty high. I’m trying to find my footing here and I hope folks will like what I’m doing.
